Test Microphone on Windows

  1. First of all, you have to get into the Discord app. Once you are in, search for the settings option available on the Discord app. Check the lower-left part of the Discord app’s screen. There, you will see a gear icon available. This is the Settings menu. You have to click this one to open the Settings option.
  2. When you click the User Settings option, you will see several settings available if you want to change them. From the list, you have to go for App Settings. Under App Settings, you will get to see several tabs available. The first tab will be Voice & Video. All you need is to click this one to test your microphone.
  3. This will bring out the Voice Settings tab before you. In the list, you will get to see several settings for a voice like the input voice, output voice, along with the input and output volume. And below the input and output settings, there will be another option called Mic Test.
  4. If you are having any mic issues, all you need is to start a test and test it. Below Mic Test. There’s a blue button called Let’s Check. Click on this option.

  1. With your Android mobile, get into the Discord app. Once you are in the app. you have to search for the Profile icon. You will find the profile icon on the lower-right side of the phone’s screen. Once you press the Profile icon, you will get to see several settings available.
  2. You are already in the User Settings section. In the list, all the necessary settings for notifications, game activity, appearance, text, and images, etc. are added. However, you don’t need to worry about the other settings. You have to settle for the first one called Voice & Video. Tap on this option to open the Voice settings.
  3. Once you are in Voice & Video settings, you have to skim through the option and settle for Sensitivity. Beside Sensitivity, there will be an option called Test my Microphone with an added Microphone icon on the left. Tap on this one.
  4. Now, it’s time for you to start speaking. Once you start speaking into the mic, Discord will detect the voice. As a result, the thin long bar will turn into solid green. And you are done with the testing!

For iOS users, the method for testing the Mic is almost the same. Take a look at the process!

  1. Get into the Discord app with your iPhone or iPad and then, search for the Profile icon placed at the bottom-right part of the screen. Once you get it, tap on it.
  2. It will take you to App Settings. Under App Settings, you will see options for Voice, Web Browser, Text & Images, etc. You have to go for the first option called Voice. Tap on Voice settings and a new window will appear.
  3. In this new window, you have to go for the Sensitivity option. All you need now is to use your Microphone and start speaking. The bar will turn solid green when you speak. And that’s how you know if the mic is working properly or not!
